In this role, you will serve as a key legal advisor who partners with product and engineering teams. Your focus will be on navigating complex legal landscapes and ensuring compliance while driving innovative product development in the fintech space. The successful candidate will engage directly in strategic discussions and have a significant impact on driving policies and practices that shape financial technology offerings.
Requirements
- J.D., LL.B., or equivalent degree.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in any state.
- 7-10+ years of relevant legal experience in financial services or fintech.
- Experience providing legal guidance on product development.
- Familiarity with financial services regulations such as UDAAP and ERISA.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to provide legal and strategic advice on new or enhanced products.
- Build relationships across teams to ensure compliance with federal and state laws in fintech.
- Review customer-facing disclosures and promotional materials for regulatory compliance.
- Respond to legal requests and coordinate with legal and compliance teams for efficient advice.
