About The Position

The Product Configuration Specialist role will support product configurable options for the Pre-Engineered Product offers. This position will be a part of the Products team and coordinate directly with Product Engineering to manage predetermined options for standardized products.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with electrical distribution products.
  • Ability to be flexible with multi-tasking and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A minimum of 2-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related science field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the power distribution equipment or close-related industry, preferably directly with low voltage panelboards, switchboards, or switchgear.

Responsibilities

  • Create configurable design packages and bills of materials for low voltage pre-engineered products in coordination with Product Engineering, Sales, and Applications teams.
  • Maintain organization of modular electrical and mechanical design packages.
  • Update engineering records and load new configuration’s BOMs into ERP system.
  • Coordinate design production releases with Operations team including Process Engineering, Production Leads, Planning, Procurement, and Quality.
  • Collaborate with venders for product maintenance activities including component obsolescence and redesign.
  • Coordinate action plans with internal teams to support product line maintenance needs.
  • Keep accurate records of design configurations and bill of material updates.
  • Utilize engineering change management and revision control procedures.
  • Update technical product documentation.
