About The Position

Brother International Corporation is recruiting for its Summer 2026 Internship Program. This exciting opportunity provides selected undergraduate students with a PAID, summer-long experience. The program runs from Monday June 1 through Friday August 14, with optional opportunity to extend and start 1-2 weeks earlier and/or continue 1-2 weeks later, depending on your semester schedule and the needs of the business. Eligible student applicants will be current sophomores and juniors (rising juniors and seniors respectively during the Summer 2026 program period), possess US work authorization, and be able to work full-time, following the expected schedule and on-site presence of the position. The objectives of the program are to provide meaningful work and projects for completion and to help Brother develop a strong pipeline of talent within our operating communities. This role will be based at our Bridgewater, NJ location and follow a hybrid work schedule. You will be expected to be on site at least 3 days a week, based on business need, with assigned office days determined by the manager. #LI-Hybrid

Requirements

  • Must be a present college sophomore or junior (rising junior or rising senior during the Summer 2026 program period) returning to an undergraduate program following the summer to be eligible
  • Target Major(s) or Fields of Study: Business Analytics
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize information from competitors, industry reports, and OEM/ application research
  • Ability to distill technical information into clear summaries, one-pagers, and short reports for internal and external audiences
  • Comfortable building comparison matrices, presentation decks, and content drafts in Microsoft Office
  • Capable of working independently on multi-week research projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand gearmotors, applications, and industry verticals, even with limited prior exposure

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Technical Marketing
  • Prior projects involving competitor analysis, market sizing, or strategy research
  • Technical writing or content creation experience (writing for technical blogs, engineering clubs, student research, or similar)
  • Exposure to any emerging verticals (e.g. solar, warehouse automation, industrial machinery)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured competitive research by vertical, application, and product line, identifying competitor strengths, weaknesses, pricing positioning, and go-to-market models
  • Develop a comprehensive analysis of emerging markets, mapping OEMs, applications, technology trends, and opportunity size
  • Build a library of real-world use cases and support content development for newsletters and whitepapers through data gathering, interviews, and cross-functional collaboration
