The Product Architect determines best practices and provides guidance to other members of the engineering team. The Product Architect is responsible for analyzing requirements provided by Business Analysts and documents the design and implementation needed to meet the requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience with selected programming languages, including Rudy and JavaScript (ExtJS).
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience of relational PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.
  • Be able to automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
  • Be able to review and debug code.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
  • With a degree, 2-3 years of software development experience.
  • Without a Bachelor’s degree, 4-5 years of software development experience.
  • Ability to learn, correct and improve existing applications.
  • Strong analytical ability to solve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to contribute to a cross-functional team environment with focus on operational needs and communication.
  • Willingness to adapt and to learn new skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Great attention to detail and results driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a specific application.
  • Work with Business Analysts providing guidance during the requirement gathering phase.
  • Clarify business requirements for other members of the team.
  • Continually monitor the engineering team’s work, to ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
