About The Position

As a Producer Relations Advisor (PRA), you will be an integral part of the internal sales division within Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies' Distribution team. Your primary role will be to support independent agencies in achieving success while ensuring the company generates quality, profitable business. This position is centered on building strong relationships, providing training to partners, resolving issues, and advancing business objectives from a hybrid office/home-office setting. Upon the appointment of a new agency, the PRA serves as the initial point of contact from GUARD, offering comprehensive onboarding and orientation. You will be responsible for imparting in-depth knowledge of GUARD’s operations as a carrier, including navigation and content comprehension of the Agency Service Center (ASC), which is the online platform used by agencies for submitting and servicing accounts. The role also involves continuous marketing and procedural training and support for a rapidly expanding independent agency base, with the goal of meeting predefined submission and premium targets. You will actively encourage production from individual appointed agencies, monitor business quality, and review hit ratios for submitted, quoted, and written accounts in line with the company's appetite and product lines. Collaboration with field personnel is key to forming a “territorial team” aimed at achieving territorial production goals, which may vary by geographical location within the United States. Managing your assigned territory will involve utilizing the IIS Dashboard, independently creating diaries for follow-ups, and handling tasks related to outreach through both written and verbal communication. Additionally, you will address a wide array of agency problems, assist with agency appointments, and deliver ongoing training to both new and existing agents, including conducting broad-based webinars for diverse agency audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onboarding and orientation for new agency relationships once a new agency is appointed.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of GUARD’S functioning as a carrier including navigational and content comprehension of Agency Service Center (ASC), the online platform in which agencies submit and service accounts.
  • Provide ongoing marketing and procedural training and support for a rapidly growing independent agency base with the objective of meeting predetermined submission and premium goals.
  • Continuously encourage production from individual appointed agencies while monitoring the quality of business, monitoring hit ratio top review submitted/quoted/written accounts based upon the company appetite and product line.
  • Partner with field personnel to complete a “territorial team” with the objective of meeting territorial production goals which may vary pertaining to each individual territory assigned to a particular geographical location within the United States footprint.
  • Manage their assigned territory utilizing IIS Dashboard including independently creating diaries for follow up and tasks pertaining to follow ups and outreach using both written and verbal communication with outreach.
  • Respond to a wide range of agency problems, assist in agency appointments, and provide ongoing training to new and existing agents, including broad-based webinars to small and large agency audiences.
