About The Position

This role is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, achieving sales and profit goals for the Produce department, and controlling quality assurance standards. The Assistant Department Leader will monitor all functions and activities within the Produce department and demonstrate the company's core values. Smith’s Food and Drug, which merged with The Kroger Company in 1998, operates over 140 stores across several western states. • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages our customers to return
• Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department
• Control all established quality assurance standards
• Monitor all functions, duties and activities related to the Produce department
