About The Position
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Prod Plng/Scheduler 4 for our Unmanned Systems Division. Planners and Schedulers support a wide variety of different functional areas at Unmanned Systems (UxS) and play an integral role in the success of all projects and product lines. We are looking for an experienced Prod Plng/Scheduler 4 that will be responsible for change management and tracking, project performance metrics, and collaborating with the integrated project team on various other tasks. The Prod Plng/Scheduler 4 will work closely with the Production Control department and may assist with implementing new policies, procedures and/or software. Requirements
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1
Nice To Haves
- Advanced experience with MS Excel required
- Experience preparing, updating, and evaluating production schedules and production schedule metrics is required
- Experience with production planning and scheduling in an MRP environment is required
- Must be able to work independently and in team/group settings
- Deltek/Costpoint (MRP) experience preferred but not required
- APICS CPIM is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
