About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with extensive expertise in sourcing electronic components and materials. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality parts essential for our manufacturing operations. This role requires a proactive approach to managing the backlog in accordance with sales orders, parts procurement, production schedules, and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers of electronic components, both locally and internationally.
Obtain quotes and negotiate terms to secure competitive pricing and favorable delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain a list of preferred suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service promptly.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
Monitor MRP demand and exception reports to prepare and distribute purchase orders accordingly.
Control company inventory, continuously reviewing levels and adjusting stock as needed.
Drive the backlog in accordance with sales orders, parts procurement, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
Manage manufacturing schedules to ensure alignment with production goals and customer requirements.
Oversee all aspects of domestic and international freight and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Coordinate product shipments, including reverse material flows, to support production and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with quality control personnel to address defective or unacceptable goods, ensuring timely resolution with suppliers.
Ensure all procured materials comply with company specifications and industry standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Research and evaluate new suppliers to diversify the supply base and mitigate risks.
Organize and maintain design and procurement documents.
Update and manage BOMs.
Use AutoCAD to assist with layout and design as needed.
