About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist/Buyer who will be a critical member of the sourcing team and will be one of the faces of an ever-growing supplier network. This new role will support overall company growth, and while day-to-day sourcing tasks may vary, overall responsibility is to work with the Operations Team to ensure customer needs are met. This is an onsite permanent opportunity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, General Business 5 years of relevant work experience
• Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• NetSuite experience a bonus
• Buyer experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist procurement activities for all business segments, supporting the team with contract reviews, cost and inventory management, and ensuring on-time delivery and quality of product
• Create, execute, and update purchase and work orders consistent with operational/contractual requirements and to maintain reliable data/ETAs
• Oversee inventory production scheduling and reporting of delays
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy and timely payments to suppliers
• Track backorders and work with Sourcing team to mitigate/prevent future stock outs
• Perform data analysis and make recommendations for new improvements within the supply chain and operations team.
• Work cross-functionally on new product introductions to ensure alignment on project deliverables (cost, quality, inventory, delivery)
