About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: MCSG is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead and execute procurement activities supporting Department of Defense (DoD), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and related contracts and subcontracts. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations while driving efficiency, transparency, and accountability across all purchasing operations. Location: This role is fully on-site at either the Corporate Office in Oklahoma City (1 East Sheridan Avenue) or the Satellite Office in Colorado Springs (5575 Tech Center Drive). Remote or hybrid work options are not available. PRIMARY DUTIES: Lead sourcing, negotiation, and administration of purchase orders and subcontracts for DoD, NASA and other related programs. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with FAR, DFARS, AFFARS, and NASA FAR Supplement; support audits and prepare reports for management and contracting officers. Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring adherence to established procedures and best practices. Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure procurement activities align with overall program objectives. Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers; manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Manage the full contract lifecycle including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and closeout. Coordinate with DFAS, contracting offices, and program managers to support contract execution. Utilize procurement platforms such as FPDS-NG, EDA, AF Data Services, PIEE, SAM.gov, GSA Purchasing, and Microsoft Office. Conduct cost/price analysis and formal negotiations to achieve best value for the company and government customers. Develop procurement strategies incorporating market conditions, pricing trends, and lead times; establish long-term agreements for critical categories. Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement or acquisitions.
  • At least 2 years supporting DoD programs/projects, knowledge of DoD contract management, including GSA and SEWP.
  • 2 years of experience managing contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursable).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing FPDS-NG, EDA, and AF Data Services,
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, negotiate favorable terms, and produce accurate, well-structured documentation.
  • High School Diploma.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JAMIS).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain a clearance may be preferred depending on contract requirements.
