About The Position

We are seeking a detailed oriented, analytical and proactive Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing and supplier coordination for our manufacturing operations. This individual will also provide administrative and operational support to manage the flow of goods from suppliers to consumers, performing tasks like inventory monitoring, order fulfillment, data entry, and vendor coordination to ensure efficient and organized supply chain operations. They work under the direction of the Supply Chain Analyst, inputting data into databases, sending purchase orders to vendors, generating reports, handling documentation, and resolving customer and supplier inquiries. This role is critical in ensuring material availability, controlling costs, optimizing inventory and supporting our production schedules.   • 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associates degree or greater preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficiency in computers is required, particularly in Microsoft Office-based programs such as excel.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring stock levels, conducting physical stock checks, and assisting with demand forecasting to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assisting with the processing of orders, preparing invoices, and ensuring products are dispatched on time to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Interacting with vendors to respond to inquiries and coordinate with suppliers for product delivery.
  • Assisting with tracking shipments, ensuring on-time deliveries, and coordinating with logistics providers to manage the movement of goods.
  • Working with our vendors to ensure quality of materials and products are consistent before they are dispatched or sold.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving routine customer and supplier issues and appropriately escalating when necessary to senior staff.
  • Working in conjunction with our production team to ensure consistency in deliveries.
