About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Port Arthur, Texas Responsibilities Manage and track all two-year spare purchase orders (POs) from issue to delivery. Contact vendors prior to each scheduled delivery to confirm or update delivery status. Escalate late or at-risk deliveries to the Materials Manager/Warehouse Manager. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date status tracking file in Microsoft Excel (manual phase). Develop a standardized expediting process, including templates and communication logs. Configure and transition this process into the SAP system once it goes live. Train MRP Planners and Supply Chain personnel on the finalized SAP process and reporting tools. Provide weekly progress updates and documentation. Review open purchase orders and update delivery status. Contact suppliers for confirmation or revised ship dates. Escalate delays and provide recommendations for mitigation. Maintain dashboard of parts status for upcoming deliveries. Attend weekly status meetings (remote or on-site as required).

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain expediting or material management experience, preferably in oil & gas.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting).
  • Practical experience using SAP MM (Materials Management) and MRP.
  • Proven ability to build, document, and implement new processes.
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
  • Highly organized and proactive with attention to deadlines.
  • Must be willing to work on-site 1 day a week in Port Arthur, TX.
