About The Position

Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for Procurement Specialist our newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX . Pay starting at $30.00+ DOE The Procurement Specialist works collaboratively with the business manager, department leadership, the facility director as well as partner and customer organizations. Responsible for planning, negotiating, and procuring the most cost-effective products and services for hospital operations in compliance with company policies & procedures and management & contract directives. Assists in the evaluation of contracts and provides assistance to facility staff. Essential Functions: 1. Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures affecting procurement. 2. Prepare requests for quotes and oversee the selection of best value suppliers of hospital goods and services in accordance with procurement policies and procedures. 3. Assist in the development and implementation of and adherence to strategic procurement initiatives. 4. Prepare purchase orders and seek review and approval of and process contracts for medical supplies, equipment, onsite and off-site clinical services, repairs, lease/rental and other types of facility procurements as assigned. 5. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of and adherence to all contractual terms and conditions. 6. Provide training to facility staff on policy guidelines and the contract review process as needed. 7. Keep accurate and complete purchasing documentation. 8. Perform audits to ensure policy compliance and identify training opportunities. 9. Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and professional conduct. 10. Ensure day-to-day activities promote sustainability and reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing waste and maximizing recycling’ saving energy; and minimizing water usage where possible. 11. Maintain regular attendance, demonstrate professional conduct, and ensure adherence to safety, security, and infection control practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or intention to complete within six months of hire in a business or finance related field. Proven experience in medical related purchasing, business or related fields may be considered in lieu of forma education requirements with joint venture leadership approvals. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a thorough knowledge of computer application software (integrated accounting systems, word processing, spreadsheet and ERP systems and other business software technology). Knowledge of and experience with hospital or medical industry a plus. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management. Post Hire Requirements: Must successfully complete annual new hire and in-service training requirements and pass an annual background check. Requirements
