About The Position

The Procurement Specialist I provides professional acquisition support by performing pre-award and post-award contracting activities in accordance with federal regulations and organizational policies. This role supports requirement analysis, contract planning, market research, and procurement performance monitoring while ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable socio-economic statutes. Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in federal contracting or acquisition support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAR and applicable federal procurement regulations.
  • Experience supporting pre-award and post-award contracting activities.
  • Familiarity with socio-economic procurement requirements.
  • Experience analyzing procurement performance data and identifying trends.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple acquisition actions in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Acquisition Management, Public Administration, Finance, or related field required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • DAWIA or FAC-C Level I certification in Contracting required or commensurate.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement requirements and assist in acquisition planning.
  • Conduct market research and document findings.
  • Recommend revisions to Statements of Work (SOW) and specifications.
  • Determine appropriate contract types and acquisition strategies.
  • Establish procurement milestones and support acquisition schedules.
  • Ensure acquisition documentation reflects a full understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Support contract administration and modification processing.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to non-compliance.
  • Monitor contract performance and support documentation updates.
  • Apply knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), socio-economic statutes, and contracting methodologies.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and Delivery Order / Task Order contracting efforts.
  • Develop and analyze procurement data for planning and performance measurement systems.
  • Analyze procurement activities against performance indicators and goals.
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
