Job Summary: The Procurement Solutions Manager provides strategic leadership to the Supplier Development Engineering (SDE) organization and owns the enterprise framework for supplier capability, readiness, and factory interface governance. The position integrates supplier performance, commercial strategy alignment, and cross‑functional operating models to drive enterprise outcomes across PSN, factories, Engineering, and Procurement. In this capacity, the role partners with Technical Sales and Master Production Scheduling to support and influence sourcing location decisions, ensuring alignment between supplier technical capability, capacity readiness, commercial strategy, and delivery requirements while maintaining enterprise quality and operational standards

Requirements

  • Business Process Improvement: Extensive experience and knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.
  • Data Analytics: Working knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.
  • Effective Communications: Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Matrix Management: Working knowledge and understanding of the importance of being able to leverage external resources when required and ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Working knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.
  • Category Management: Working knowledge of category management within an organization's goods and services sector; ability to use this knowledge to analyze and improve the end-to-end procurement process and maximize business profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise Supplier Development Engineering (SDE) function, setting strategic direction, defining performance management structures, and driving capability development, role clarity, and workforce planning aligned with PSN and procurement goals.
  • Own the enterprise supplier onboarding and readiness lifecycle, including new supplier and packager onboarding, capability validation, inspections, readiness gates, and launch governance.
  • Develop and execute long‑term roadmaps for supplier capability uplift, standard work, auditing frameworks, and readiness governance across PSN regions and factory interfaces.
  • Serve as process owner for the operating model between factories and PSN roles (SDE, SQE, Quality, Engineering, Operations), clarifying ownership, escalation paths, and intervention models.
  • Drive cross‑functional accountability for supplier launch success through structured risk reviews, recovery planning, and alignment on supplier investments and remediation actions.
  • Partner with Procurement and Commercial leadership to integrate supplier capability and readiness insights into sourcing, cost, capacity, negotiation, and portfolio decisions.
  • Enable transparency and analytics through accurate integration of supplier onboarding and readiness data into enterprise purchasing systems and data platforms.
  • Lead process automation, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives supporting supplier capability and readiness management.
