About The Position

The Procurement Planning Control Representative 2 is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, planning, and scheduling the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related materials throughout the production and inventory process. This role involves identifying raw material, component, and related requirements based on engineering and production specifications and schedules. The representative will purchase, plan, and coordinate the resulting material movement through manufacturing and inventory sequences. In a front-end procurement capacity, the position requires analyzing data to determine factors affecting prices and ensuring the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and schedule adherence. Key tasks include reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, following up on placed orders, approving payments, and maintaining records of material movement. The role also necessitates coordination and follow-up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

Requirements

3 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 1 year of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree (combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree).

Responsibilities

Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process.
Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
Analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules (in front-end procurement mode).
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
