This position reports to: Procurement Manager __ In this role you will have the opportunity to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for a group of categories. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the ELSB NEMA Breakers Procurement in Puerto Rico. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree; Supply Chain or Logistics Management preferred
10+ years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably with raw materials such as copper and aluminum
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
Experience in local supplier development, Make vs Buy, negotiation, sourcing, outsourcing and dual sourcing.
Strong strategic insight with the ability to align procurement decisions to broader business goals
Fluent in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
Negotiating agreements with main suppliers (Copper and Aluminum), and periodically renews price lists, and terms and conditions.
Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
