This position reports to: Procurement Manager __ In this role you will have the opportunity to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for a group of categories. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the ELSB NEMA Breakers Procurement in Puerto Rico. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; Supply Chain or Logistics Management preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably with raw materials such as copper and aluminum
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
  • Experience in local supplier development, Make vs Buy, negotiation, sourcing, outsourcing and dual sourcing.
  • Strong strategic insight with the ability to align procurement decisions to broader business goals
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
  • Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
  • Negotiating agreements with main suppliers (Copper and Aluminum), and periodically renews price lists, and terms and conditions.
  • Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
  • Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
