JPS is a manufacturer of high-performance fabrics servicing the aerospace, military, commercial, and industrial markets. The company’s materials are found in a multitude of composite matrix applications including commercial aircraft interiors, radomes for commercial and military aircraft, ballistic applications for military vests and vehicles as well as electronic applications including automobile sensors and telecommunication antenna. JPS has over 60 years of experience in our markets and is the primary supplier of these products in North America. The corporate headquarters are in Anderson, SC with manufacturing facilities located in North and South Carolina. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, and inventory strategy for a growing mid-sized manufacturing organization. This is a high-visibility role that directly impacts production continuity, margin performance, supplier partnerships, and inventory efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain management experience in manufacturing
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
  • Execute procurement strategies aligned with growth and margin goals
  • Negotiate pricing and supply agreements
  • Drive measurable cost savings and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Monitor market trends and proactively manage supply risk
  • Production & Inventory Alignment
  • Ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and production supplies
  • Partner with Operations and Planning to forecast purchasing needs
  • Improve inventory accuracy and oversee cycle count processes
  • Supplier Performance & Partnerships
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers
  • Establish vendor performance metrics (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
  • Strengthen supplier relationships while holding partners accountable
  • Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop the procurement team
  • Establish KPIs and drive accountability
  • Improve purchasing processes and ERP utilization
  • Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
