About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking for a procurement manager who will lead the sourcing and supply chain strategies supporting the development of key new programs within the commercial seating business. This includes working to support the IPT team delivering new products, through the development of sourcing strategies, setting objectives and guiding others on executing and implementing supply chain strategy. Responsible for developing and improving sourcing strategies to enhance price, quality, timing, and reliability outcomes. This is an onsite role in Winston-Salem, NC and may be eligible for relocation. This role may have up to 10% travel.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • The company will not seek an export authorization for this role
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or Engineering background preferred.
  • Prior NPI/NPD experience preferred.
  • Proven experience working cross functionally with multiple disciplines such as program management and/or Engineering
  • Experience implementing cost out initiatives for materials
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment, aerospace ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a supply chain sourcing strategy to support to the development of key new program
  • Implements supply chain strategies.
  • Works to implement APQP integration within the supply chain processes for new development
  • Active risk management
  • Manages supplier selection process, meeting the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Negotiates awards contracts within specified spending limits, and develops/approves new qualified sources of supply
  • Manages sourcing strategies, shares best practices, and defines acceptable service levels.
  • Manages supplier negotiations, analyzes suppliers' operations, and recommends the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Validates accuracy of price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Develops a strategic plan for a sourcing of new programs.
  • Interfaces with cross functional groups in Design, Commodity management, Quality and Operations
  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.
  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed Collins requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.
