About The Position

Leads procurement strategy and execution across a portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects. This role owns supplier strategy, major equipment contracting, and procurement team leadership to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with full quality and compliance. This is a leadership role with accountability for the group’s procurement operating model, commercial risk management, supplier performance, and scalability. Success is measured through project outcomes: delivery certainty, reduced supply chain risk, improved commercial terms, and repeatable procurement systems that support growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years procurement/supply chain leadership experience in construction, EPC, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business or construction management.
  • Strong experience delivering utility-scale renewables projects in a procurement role.
  • Proven track record negotiating and contracting major equipment and material packages.
  • Strong commercial and legal contract awareness (LDs, warranties, incoterms, milestone payments, variation management).
  • Experienced in coordinating with engineering, construction, project management, finance, and legal teams in the EPC business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Experience using procurement management software and tools.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple concurrent projects and regions.
  • Delivery mindset; schedule certainty and risk control, not just up-front savings.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid growth environments, and frequent design changes.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute the procurement strategy for EPC projects across the business.
  • Lead a high-performing procurement function supporting multiple concurrent construction sites.
  • Support sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and commercial contracting for key purchases, typically including: Solar PV: PV modules; trackers/structures and foundations; string or central inverters; MV stations/ inverter skid packages (where applicable). BESS: battery containers/racks; PCS (power conversion systems); EMS/plant controller (PPC); HVAC, fire detection/suppression and auxiliary systems Balance of Plant: GSU transformers; auxiliary transformers; MV/LV switchgear; SCADA and communications; cable (DC, LV, MV); balance of system components. High Voltage: substation equipment; structural steel; Systems Controls/ SCADA systems; transmission line materials; substation balance of system materials
  • Build strategic supplier relationships and help develop a qualified supplier base across regions, including dual sourcing strategies for critical material.
  • Secure production allocations and manage supplier capacity constraints for long lead equipment.
  • Monitor supplier performance management. (quality, responsiveness, delivery, documentation).
  • Lead procurement risk management including contingency planning and supply chain mitigation strategies
  • Support the commercial approach to procurement contracts and partner with legal, finance, and project leadership to ensure procurement contracts support project bankability and delivery outcomes.
  • Coordinate with logistics team to develop and improve our systems related to onsite delivery, storage and issuance to the field
  • Support the development of expediting processes to ensure long lead and critical path items align construction and commissioning milestones.
  • Support the development of; track and report procurement KPIs to leadership.
