About The Position

We are currently seeking an entry level position of Procurement Coordinator to join our growing organization. The Procurement Coordinator’s primary role will be to support the procurement initiatives, expedite and release new orders. This role will be the liaison for procurement, suppliers, sales and our customer service team.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and willingness to respond
  • Data entry and general computer skills a must.
  • Ability to multitask and to work independently.
  • Proven track record of attendance and reliability.
  • Should be self-directed and responsible.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of the operation.
  • Detailed and organized

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on open orders with vendors and communicate updates
  • Maintaining accurate due dates in ERP system
  • Manage routine drop ship and impromptu purchase orders
  • Act as a point of contact with vendors for sales, customer service and Procurement team.
  • Arrange pick-ups with suppliers and internal shipping team
  • Negotiate with vendors / carriers for best freight rate
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
