The Procurement team is moving beyond traditional sourcing goals to create value for the enterprise by improving profitability, increasing supplier collaboration, and supporting new solution development. Job Description The Procurement Compliance Project Manager serves as the critical bridge between operational sourcing and corporate integrity. You won’t just be "checking boxes"; you will be the architect of a transparent supply chain. This role requires a blend of project management rigor, data literacy, and the diplomatic skill to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar business field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, project management, compliance or similar business experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Employee must be based in the Greater Chicago Area with the expectation to be in office up to 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Management & Reporting Operational Governance: Translate high-level procurement strategies into tactical project plans with clear milestones (e.g., Small Business Subcontracting goals or Sustainability targets).
  • Regulatory Translation: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on U.S. Federal requirements, ensuring the team stays ahead of changing legislation (e.g., Section 889, Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act).
  • Data Analytics & Integrity Predictive Risk Modeling: Move beyond retrospective reporting to identify trends in supplier data that indicate potential financial instability or geopolitical risk.
  • System Ownership: Act as the functional lead for Procurement Compliance Data systems to ensure the "Source of Truth" remains untainted.
  • Visualization: Convert raw datasets from SQL or Excel into executive-ready visualizations (PowerBI/Tableau) that tell a story of risk vs. reward.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Cross-Functional Diplomacy: Mediate between Engineering’s need for speed, Legal’s need for protection, and Finance’s need for cost-control.
  • Training & Enablement: Design and deliver training sessions to the broader Supply Chain team to foster a culture of "Compliance by Design.
