As a Procurement Category Manager, you will lead the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies for internal stakeholders, such as critical data center infrastructure (such as General Contractor services, power, or cooling). You will collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to drive efficiency, mitigate supply chain risks, and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, specifically in vendor negotiations and global contract management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Python, along with advanced Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in data center construction, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
  • Location: Prefer candidate already local to Northeast Ohio area

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for specific categories
  • Supplier Management: Create mechanisms and metrics (KPIs/SLAs) to hold suppliers accountable for performance, quality, and delivery.
  • Negotiation: Lead high-stakes competitive bidding and contract negotiations for enterprise-level agreements.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze market trends, "should-cost" models, and total cost of ownership (TCO) to identify value opportunities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify supply chain constraints and develop business continuity plans to ensure data center capacity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between procurement, construction managers, and finance leadership.
