As a Buyer, you’ll manage a portfolio of vendors, execute SIOP demand plans through SAP, and partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Sales to support both ongoing builds and new product introductions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and experience in high‑volume production or lean environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • 1 to 2 years experience.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision while prioritizing tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Chemistry / medial device background preferred.
  • Experience gained within a hi-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Memberships of CPIM & CSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of vendors and drive material supply in alignment with factory demand.
  • Execute the SIOP demand plan through SAP to ensure material availability for factory builds.
  • Conduct weekly supplier reviews to maintain on-time delivery performance, focusing on service and delivery targets.
  • Issue rolling forecasts and purchase orders to the supply base in a timely manner to support flexible production planning and material supply.
  • Use SAP to generate reports and extract data for forecasting, supply, and materials planning.
  • Manage new product introduction projects, including the approval and implementation of new SKUs and suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and supply data are maintained in SAP for all purchases.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain.
  • Develop strong relationships with other internal functions including Quality, Engineering, Production, and Sales teams.
