This position also requires determining potential delivery delays, coordinating with various departments like purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering to expedite material requirements, and maintaining records and follow-up files for purchases, shipments, and damaged item returns. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience with computer systems like SAP.
Experience in Micro Soft Excel strongly preferred, Power Point and Access desirable.
Ability to type accurately, take initiative and posess postitive communication skills.

Responsibilities

Contacts vendors and transportation companies, to ensure that materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
Determines when deliveries may be delayed.
Coordinates with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and other users to expedite material requirements.
Maintains records and follow-up files of purchases, shipments, returns of damaged items, and related matters.
