Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field
  • 4-10 years related experience
  • Ability to work on-site at Willow Valley Communities

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with various WVC departments on a daily basis.
  • Sources, evaluates, and interacts with suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, and delivery.
  • Negotiates contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for WVC.
  • Processes and manages purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Reviews deliveries against orders; tracks status and confirms receipts.
  • Approves invoices and ensures that all invoices are timely submitted to Accounts Payable for payment.
  • Maintains strong, positive business relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Understands the inventory supply needs of various WVC departments.
  • Oversees key inventory storage locations identified throughout the campuses.
  • Implements and maintains inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels at these locations.
  • Monitors and analyzes inventory needs against current inventory levels; manages the inventory replenishment process in support of daily Operations.
  • Organizes and maintains accurate records of all inventoried items.
  • Evaluates and processes “spot” requests for non-inventoried materials, goods, and supplies.
  • Develops inventory planning strategies based on historical usage data for existing and future Operations.
  • Researches information on products, services, sources, etc.
  • Provides insights and recommendations on purchasing strategies and inventory control.
  • Solicits bids; evaluates bid proposals.
  • Evaluates, negotiates with, and chooses the best suppliers for materials, goods, and services.
  • Manages contracts, service agreements and/or master agreements between suppliers and WVC.
  • Works with Accounting to manage certificates of insurance for various contractors.
  • Collaborates with Operations and Finance to align procurement and inventory activities with WVC’s business goals.
  • Develops and maintains overall purchasing and inventory policies.
  • Recruits, hires, and trains any supporting staff.
