About The Position

The Procurement Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required to support industrial projects and ongoing operations. Working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, this role partners closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Field Operations to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and supplier performance standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting complex installations, manufacturing, and engineering services similar to those delivered by Beck & Pollitzer USA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • 3–7 years of procurement or purchasing experience, ideally within industrial services, engineering, construction, or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of project-based procurement and supply chain processes
  • Experience sourcing mechanical, electrical, industrial, or engineered materials is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of industrial materials, fabrication, installation, or automation environments
  • Familiarity with contract terms and conditions (commercial and technical)
  • Understanding of logistics, shipping, and customs considerations (a plus)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and procure materials, components, equipment, and services to meet project and operational requirements
  • Issue purchase orders, review specifications, drawings, and scope of work to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Managers, and Site Teams to align procurement activities with project timelines
  • Track and manage purchase order status, expediting materials as needed to support critical project milestones
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Support cost control initiatives by identifying savings opportunities and alternative sourcing strategies
  • Resolve pricing, delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies with suppliers
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting within ERP or procurement systems
  • Assist with supplier audits, performance reviews, and approved vendor management
