Job Summary Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as machine operators, forklift operators, laborers, and plant and system operators. Requirements

  • High school or GED equivalent, equal vocational training/certification, or equivalent experience
  • Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred
  • Knowledge of machine/industrial maintenance preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs from ground level

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
  • Assign responsibilities to workers each shift
  • Follow and enforce all safety regulations & LOTO procedures
  • Attend weekly safety meetings
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Investigate and report test results
  • Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect or assess problems
  • Assisting in training new employees
  • Clean-up of equipment and maintain the surrounding area, keeping them free of debris
  • Monitor production process to ensure smooth operation of line(s)
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
