About The Position

Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains a variety of equipment & positions throughout the Terra Chips Processing Area. This is to aide in the final goal of making a safe, quality finished good for the end consumer. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Proven strong safety record
Ability to work well with other team members and management
Ability to make simple math calculation & measurements is required
Ability to read & speak basic English
Effective communication skills with coworkers and supervisors
Possess manual dexterity to manipulate machinery
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers
Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedure
Available to work overtime/weekend as needed
Must obtain Forklift Certification within the first two (2) weeks of employment.

Nice To Haves

Bi-lingual with Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred
Candidates with prior certification are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Supplying raw vegetables to the production line
Monitoring vegetable size profile & taking action if needed
Monitoring slice thickness & making adjustments as needed
Monitoring fryer settings to ensure finished product is within moisture quality specifications
Keeping up with housekeeping throughout the entire shift to stay within quality, food safety & safety standards
Cleaning fryers as needed to address oil quality issues
Documenting equipment setpoints & performing quality checks
Other duties as assigned
