Requirements

Must have prior experience as a DMV Title Clerk (at least 2 years)
Strong knowledge of title and registration procedures
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

Receive and process vehicle titles from sellers, ensuring a proper chain of ownership
Estimate registration fees, verify smog certificates, and perform online registration printouts
Process online reports of sales and issue temporary tags through DMV electronic systems
Maintain accurate file documentation and update customers on title and registration status
Research missing or incorrect title paperwork to ensure compliance with DMV regulations
Communicate with customers and DMV representatives to resolve title issues efficiently
Provide friendly, front-counter customer service as needed
