Dynacast supplies major companies in a variety of industries including automotive, medical, consumer electronics, hardware and telecommunications. Process Engineer reports directly to Manufacturing Engineering Managers. This position will monitor and improve processes for manufacturing output, manufacturing process changes and maximum work safety.

Requirements

A self-motivated individual
A background in aluminum die casting beneficial, with experience in a die casting process role preferred
Proficient in trouble shooting methods
Ability to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
An understanding of good foundry process and metal handling.
An understanding of advanced quality planning and adherence to ISO quality system.
This person will have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a foundry related field, or mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering disciplines or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Process control monitoring:
Monitor die lube and process parameter compliance daily
Investigate cause or reasons for process changes
Validate process changes are effective / warranted
Provide appropriate reports
New Product Development:
Set up and run new tooling sample runs, and determine process windows
Develop set up sheet
Create cooling and spray diagrams
Provide feedback for APQP process
Assist operators, shift leads, and supervisors to achieve department goals.
Design, implement and troubleshoot process improvements and machinery.
Convert current processes to more efficient ones
Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters.
