The primary work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 9 hours per day and Friday for 4 hours. Overtime required as needed. This shift will support the factory and aid to work/life balance. Where is this opportunity located? This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota in our High School, Park, and Recreation (HSPR) Manufacturing department. What will the work look like for me? Front-line of support for day-to-day production operations. Support areas of metal machine operation and other areas within final assembly. Respond to escalated production issues for assessment/diagnosis/resolution, escalating to next level process expert and production leadership as needed. Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of product and equipment, assembly tools, fixtures, and jigs. Assist with documentation of operation setup and maintenance procedures. Assist in line setup and changeovers, including line/workstation layout, tooling/equipment/fixturing, materials presentation, and refresher training to operators. Review and respond to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Review product Bill of Materials (BOM) and/or drawing to address ECOs. Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Production Leadership in improving current processes and developing new processes. Learn various software and programming systems; programming will include both off-line programming and adjustments on the line. Participate in team and individual problem-solving activities. Perform other tasks assigned as needed to fulfill customer demand and continuously improve.
