About The Position

WeatherTech Direct is seeking well-qualified Process Technicians to maintain injection molding manufacturing process equipment and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently. The base hourly rate starts at $25 per hour or more, depending on experience Additional compensation: $1.00 per hour 2nd shift differential or $1.50 per hour 3rd shift differential.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent machine set up experience
  • 1 year of prior experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (forklift, reach truck)
  • Experience using basic hand power tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Plastics Injection Molding materials and equipment
  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic processes knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to successfully complete the WeatherTech Forklift Certification Program upon hire, including a written exam and hands-on             driving evaluation
  • Read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English
  • Possess basic math, measuring, and computer skills
  • A high degree of attention and detail to prevent accidents, injuries, and quality issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime, as required
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand product briefs and process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine operations
  • Confirm correct job is set up on assigned machine per production schedule, verifying mold number, material color, tooling is set up        properly, etc.
  • Assist in setting up tooling as needed
  • Operate a crane hoist to perform mold changes
  • Climb into, under, and on machines; visually inspect the alignment of robots/molds
  • Visually and physically inspect parts for defects; make adjustments to process to ensure parts conform to quality standards
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks
  • Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition while cleaning and maintaining equipment as needed
  • Work weekends and overtime, as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
