The position is located at the Fayetteville Works facility. Fayetteville is located in eastern North Carolina in Bladen County. The site has been in operations for more than 45 years and employs over 100 full-time employees. The job includes safely operating and maintaining manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus at least one of the following:
  • Two years of work experience in a chemical, mechanical or electrical process. This may include manufacturing, maintenance, electrical, and/or instrumentation experience. OR
  • A two-year associate/technical degree in a related field. Prefer a degree to be in manufacturing technology, maintenance, electronic, electrical, or engineering.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to work 12 hours rotating shifts (including weekends and holidays) and overtime,
  • Must work under various conditions including outside work in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of math, the ability to understand trend charts and scale reading
  • Demonstrated planning and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to self- manage and function as a member of a diverse work team
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and work at elevated heights. Walk, stand, safely lift 50 pounds and wear various protective equipment
  • Ability to use common hand tools
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Produce standard quality SG sheeting safely and efficiently
  • Assist with packaging of sheets when necessary
  • Recycling processing as required
  • Troubleshooting of extrusion equipment, controls systems, and other processing equipment
  • Confirming system transactions occurred properly (SAP, MES, IP21, VisiTrak, etc)
  • Documentation of necessary records in accordance with procedures
  • Update shift logs and making turnover logs
  • Performing routine mechanical tasks, minor preventive maintenance, and locking out equipment.
  • Issue work notifications, lockout, and prep equipment to maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Review and revise job procedures.
  • Schedule work and manage overtime. Maintain own timecard.
  • Train and assist other personnel as needed.
  • Capable to assist with loading/unloading, trucks, and other containers to manage raw material and product inventories.
  • Capable of operating various types of mobile equipment, such as forklifts, work savers, and yard tractors
  • Capable of cycle counting management
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Exercise judgment and work independently and with others with minimal supervision. Keep supervision informed of issues in the area.
  • Know and adhere to safety, environmental and housekeeping responsibilities, and rules
  • Follow document control and record-keeping policies
  • Must be a member of the Emergency Response Team
