About The Position

We're committed to creating a world-class manufacturing environment, and we're looking for an energetic, safety minded Process Technician to help us achieve that goal. As a Process Technician you will: Perform, and may oversee, pre-set, change, and set up of all scheduled molds in the proper presses according to setup procedures and shop orders, in a safe and timely manner; set up all support and secondary equipment needed for each job; ensure proper packaging is available for the job. Perform color changes and/or insert changes according to the shop order as required. Maintain and troubleshoot machines and secondary support equipment at all times; report any equipment breakdowns or damage to the supervisor/maintenance department immediately. Perform daily safety checks on each machine and sign off on inspections using the daily checklist; report any unsafe situations immediately. Operate a forklift as needed. Maintain cycle standards necessary for producing quality parts and meeting production standards. Visually inspect parts according to the control plan, reporting rejects as soon as practical to the quality person in charge or as instructed. Package all product according to the shop order and label properly. Set up new tooling and/or secondary and auxiliary equipment. Assist press operators as well as setup operators as needed. Program parameters for all new jobs; Fine-tune press parameters within process setup to ensure quality with minimal waste of time and materials. Process new tooling/materials as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience running plastic or rubber injection molding machines
  • At least 2 years of mold set-up experience required or equivalent combination of education and training

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in plastic or rubber injection molding preferred
