Requirements

  • Should possess a high school education or equivalent, a successful work history
  • The ability to work as a team player, and proven mechanical ability
  • Should have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE that may be required.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using percentages and decimals to utilize the Metric/English system for measurement.
  • Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
  • Must have the ability to be trained to use a computer which will be a necessity to retrieve and enter data on a database, navigate the internet for safety training, and provide email correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all quality systems (ISO 9001, Food Safety) and understand IFF’s Quality Policy and procedures.
  • Comply with all company policies, including Quality, Safety, GMPs, HAACP, Environmental, and Attendance.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment and tools (e.g., fermenters, centrifuges, CIP systems, homogenizers, blend tanks, freeze dryers, forklifts).
  • Monitor production processes by collecting samples, checking temperature, pressure, pH, and interpreting charts.
  • Follow SOPs and Work Instructions to adjust processes, control instruments, and add raw materials as needed.
  • Identify and report atypical or incorrect conditions in the production area promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records/logs of production processes, equipment, maintenance, and cleaning activities.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, minor mechanical adjustments, and coordinate major repairs or part replacements.
  • Prepare and move raw materials, equipment, and final products; assist in sterilization, cleaning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
