About The Position

Process Tech 2nd Shift McHenry, IL Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Responsible for overseeing the tools and fixtures of our customers, including input on tooling maintenance, and supplying production data and assisting with resolution of production problems. · Plant Safety. Primarily safety at the workstations. · Meeting set standards of Bill of Materials (BOM) on each production run and properly communicating if such standards cannot be met for any reason. · Identifying mold, press and molding issues that prevent efficient operations of their assigned workstations and taking the necessary steps to resolve, document resolution and communicate to supervision on their “Workstation Reports”. · Completing all workstation data collection either daily or special assignments required by procedures. · Communicating shift events to supervision / management that adversely affect operations, procedure compliance or company rules and regulations. · Cleanliness and organization of their assigned work areas. · Always watching for any unsafe situation and rectifying. · Validating proper set-up of each production workstation they are assigned to, by validating with established process sheets, manufacturing work instructions and the IPCP. Including proper material mixes, drying equipment and drying time. · Starting production runs via short shot to full shot unless otherwise noted, and meeting quality specifications of each product line while complying with BOM requirements. Presses are expected to run continually without cycle interruptions unless documented otherwise of specific details which prevent compliance. · Assists with establishing or improving plant work instructions and operations. · Oversight of work instruction procedure compliance of staff in their assigned areas specifically dress codes, safety, quality requirements, workstation requirements, material handling, housekeeping and all company rules and regulations. Especially on off shifts. · Detailed Workstation Reports that give status to all assigned workstations · Detailed Mold Preventative Evaluations (MPE) that document any issues or concerns of a mold while in the molding presses. · Cycle Adjustment forms that document any changes that are made to the molding processes during the production run. · Maintenance Work Orders that request repair or review of a concern from the maintenance department. · BOM discrepancies which provide feedback to the Engineering department when a production line cannot meet BOM specifications. Engineering are the keepers of BOM records. · Complete a Process Cycle Sheet when necessary.
