About The Position

In this role, you will drive efforts to streamline the manufacturing process, with focus being primarily in our warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory accuracy. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure projects move through the manufacturing lifecycle efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with Safety and Quality expectations.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of related experience, in areas such as: (1) Solar Innovations Products and/or Manufacturing Process, (2) Experience in a warehouse environment (3) Experience in a similar role, (4) Experience in a related industry, and/or (5) Secondary education in related field
  • Strong Computer Skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or 4-year degree in related field (ex. Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other 3D modeling software
  • Experience utilizing inventory management systems to support accurate inventory control.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, while driving cross-functional results

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate processes for potential automation to support scalability and operational excellence.
  • Determine ways to improve repeatability for high volume and/or high-risk projects.
  • Spearhead approved continuous improvement projects.
  • Work with production, installation, quality, engineering, and drafting/cutlist to implement process changes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve product quality, increase process standardization
  • Optimize inventory management practices-including cycle count accuracy and inventory turns, to support reliable production output and material availability
  • Create and maintain work standards and work instructions within your assigned functional area(s).
  • Track and maintain production metrics to support ROI of assigned projects.
  • Ensure quality control processes are established and followed throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
  • Act as a member of the change management process for assigned product types
  • Provide suggestions for ways to better display project information (ex. Bills of Material, Packing Lists, Machine Drawings, etc.) to decrease rework, increase overall quality, and decrease intellectual setup.
  • Support manufacturing corrective action initiatives
  • Support Associate product training, as needed
  • Act as a change agent, gaining buy-in from Associates and facilitating best practices, as needed.
  • Maintain a ‘role model’ reputation throughout the Company, while also creating good working relationships with all plant and office personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
