It's our goal to make everyone's lives more productive, convenient, enjoyable, and safe. ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Process/Project Engineer to join our Port Edwards team! The Process/Project Engineer develops new concepts to improve process safety, operations, efficiency, product quality, environmental control and costs; carries projects from design through installation and evaluation; utilizes expertise in process unit operations to provide assistance as required to other plant groups.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering: Chemical Engineering degree preferred with continuous manufacturing process experience preferred
  • 10 years of related experience is preferred.

  • Lean, Six-Sigma (Continuous Improvement) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates personal leadership in plant safety and environmental initiatives
  • Ensures project compliance with construction, engineering, safety and environmental codes and regulations
  • Support PHA action item resolution
  • Lead Safety/Process related incident investigations
  • Identifies and ensures compliance with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP), which are related to process safety.
  • Supports site environmental compliance activities, including but not limited to environmental reporting, data collection, permitting, and inspections.
  • Plan and implement Process Improvement Projects
  • Support use of Management of Change system for plant modifications.
  • Specify equipment and materials for plant processes to ensure plant reliability
  • Cost estimation for new projects
  • Materials procurement, acceptance, and installation oversight
  • Knowledge of process improvements and process analysis to root cause
  • Support plant operations and maintenance in troubleshooting complex or repetitive problems to closure
  • Evaluate alternatives for cost, process and operations improvements
  • Maintain process safety and technology documentation related to process design, process changes, and/or process improvements
  • Project Management (all aspects of small to medium projects)
  • On Call Supervisor rotation to support the plant during off hours as needed
