The scope of this job is being diverse in the ability to perform general operational plant duties; performances include observing tank truck loading and unloading, and pump operations. Inspecting piping, valves, and maintaining plant upkeep by performing regular PMs. Provide personnel coverage as needed (excluding Operator C level).

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required.
High degree of mechanical aptitude and skills required.
Previous maintenance experience required.
Must have an understanding of units of weights and measures.
Works well under direction and follows established procedures.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills.
Must be “fit for duty”.
Must be able to perform under the following conditions: Work in awkward or confining workspaces. Work in elevated places. Work in outdoor environment. Work in noisy environment. Work in areas that are dusty and have some odor from chemicals and etc.
Safety is a job requirement.
Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
All employees are required to complete and pass their annually held medical assessments, including but not limited to the Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and the ability to wear a respirator as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

Forklift and wheel loader experience preferred.
Experience working in an industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Achieve training to gain knowledge for operating Sulfur Prilling and Emulsified Sulfur Plants.
Monitor, mix and control product/process.
Achieve training to operate cooling towers, heat exchangers pumps, mixers, conveyors system, bucket elevators.
Monitor steam pressure, temperature, and boiler operation.
Achieve training in general plant maintenance.
Assist operation of Sulfur Prilling Plant
Assist operation of Emulsified Sulfur Plant
General Plant Maintenance
Operate Forklift
Operate Wheel Loaders
Oversee and assist loading Emulsified Sulfur
