About The Position

Maintenance process mechanic position supporting a Thermal Media Manufacturing operation consisting of 2 coating machines, 7 finishing slitters, and building/site maintenance. Essential Responsibilities: Work Schedule – 5 1/2-day, 12 hour rotating shift. Responsible for new electrical installations, and maintenance of existing electrical systems. Perform demand maintenance in all areas of Thermal Media MFG. Complete PMs, work shutdowns, generate/update procedures and prints, order and repair spare parts Support engineering and operations as needed. Perform preventive/predictive maintenance tasks, project (installation) tasks, and light fabrication tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in automated equipment maintenance.
  • Possess analytical trouble shooting skills driving to root cause of issues
  • Work effectively under pressure, display initiative and work safely
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills to work in and contribute to an integrated operations/maintenance/staff team environment
  • Experience in Chemical Mixing, Delivery, and Coating operations
  • Electrical/Electronic/Machine controls: pumps, Control valves, Web conveyance
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical (motors/ PLCs /drives).
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AB PLC's, PLC 5, Control Logix.
  • Basic Machine Shop Skills: mill, lathe, surface Grinder
  • Basic Sheet Metal Fabrication: sheer, brake
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting skills and abilities.
  • Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal guidance.
