What You’ll Do As the Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on Automation, you will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing operations through process optimization and automation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering with a strong focus on automation
  • Experience supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Pull Systems, and Just-in-Time delivery
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
  • Develop and implement automated manufacturing solutions to streamline production workflows
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for automation projects
  • Design, program, and integrate automated systems including robotics and PLCs
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of automation equipment while minimizing production disruption
  • Train employees on new automation systems and processes
  • Utilize data analysis tools to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare reports and present data-driven recommendations to leadership
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure product specifications are achieved
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues related to automation processes
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and improving manufacturing efficiency
  • Stay current on automation trends and emerging technologies to support innovation
