What You’ll Do As the Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on Automation, you will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing operations through process optimization and automation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering with a strong focus on automation
Experience supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Pull Systems, and Just-in-Time delivery
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
Develop and implement automated manufacturing solutions to streamline production workflows
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for automation projects
Design, program, and integrate automated systems including robotics and PLCs
Oversee installation and commissioning of automation equipment while minimizing production disruption
Train employees on new automation systems and processes
Utilize data analysis tools to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
Prepare reports and present data-driven recommendations to leadership
Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure product specifications are achieved
Investigate and resolve quality issues related to automation processes
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and improving manufacturing efficiency
Stay current on automation trends and emerging technologies to support innovation
