About The Position

Job Description Responsibilities Perform machining process development of aluminum, stainless, exotic, and HRSA metal components. Create part setup, fixturing, machining strategy, order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed process parameter selections, etc. Create and edit CNC programs that support the machining of complex, tight tolerance, parts fabricated on multiple-axis CNC milling, turning and mill-turn machining centers. Identify, select, and procure appropriate cutting tools for the job specific applications. Create or advise with work holding design and implementation. Create part routings, manufacturing instructions, and documentation for machining of parts. Partner with Operations, Engineering and Quality to identify process improvement opportunities such as reduced machining/setup time, improved part quality, reduced manufacturing risk, etc.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree is preferred but any Training or Technical Classes would be acceptable.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Process / Manufacturing Engineering with a Degree and 8+ years of experience without a Degree.
  • CNC Programming experience.
  • Extensive experience programming multi-axis CNC machines (4 & 5+ -axis, Single and dual channel).
  • Knowledge of post-processing and generating machine-specific CNC code.
  • High-level proficiency in Siemens NX CAM software (formally Unigraphics) for CNC programming and simulation or similar CAM software.
  • Ability to program complex geometries with tight tolerances.
