  • Bachelors’ degree in Industrial and System Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience owning and diagnosing complex operational problems by examining end-to-end flow, capacity, bottlenecks, and failure modes. Demonstrated application of structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., A3, process mapping, 5 Whys) to connect data to real-world workflows, identify root causes, and recommend actions that improve performance and reduce variability.
  • A working understanding of order management, store inventory movement + accuracy, routing, and fulfillment workflows. Must be comfortable learning by going on-site, observing workflows, and pressure testing data against reality.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years in omnichannel retail operations, store operations, supply chain, last-mile, or a related environment preferred.
  • Masters in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with BI or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) and automation programs such as Python & SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Performance Insights & Automation: Use scalable data tools to support analysis tied to building new capabilities, pilot tracking, and performance issues to support program objectives, leveraging automation where possible to improve speed and access to information. Translate findings into clear decision points, tradeoffs, and recommended actions for program and ops leaders. Support scaled events readiness and execution through proactive risk id and scenario analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Technology, Supply Chain, Transportation, Inventory, and Store Operations partners to align insights with operational realities. Devote regular time on-site in stores to build credibility with both technical and non-technical partners and demonstrate a deep understanding of store operations, systems, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Apply various methods (A3, Gemba Walks, process mapping, etc.) to connect data to real-world situations and process flows in fulfillment operations. Leverage problem solving techniques to connect data to workflows and inform decisions that will address root causes and improve program performance.
  • Change Management: Support the change journey, engaging and equipping frontline teams and leaders with the tools and training for successful adoption. Develop and maintain standard work, job aids, and process documentation as part of pilot, testing, training, and adoption.
