About The Position

General SummaryAnalyze production and quality performance of process cleaning and process improvements. Coordinate activities with various suppliers and contractors associated with the Paint Shop. Work with the Production staff to continuously improve overall performance and KPI tracking.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor production and quality for the Paint Shop. Monitor, evaluate, and maintain proper operations of the Process cleaning and improvements in the Paint shop. Manage contractors to ensure quality of work and safety practices are strictly followed. Manage shutdown activities and scheduling of heavy process cleaning for equipment. Drive system improvements and methodology to increase productivity in Robotic Processes. Analyze daily and monthly downtime and quality defects and create countermeasures to help reduce future downtime. Effectively communicate pertinent information to all related parties, i.e., department management, quality, department team members, and other Production areas. Report current projects, progress and issues to management; prepare presentations and reports as required. Lead problem solving activities in the production environment to ensure quality products including development of short- and long-term countermeasures using trend data and available indicators. Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and other problem-solving teams. Follow-up with proactive ergonomics programs in production. Check and confirm local and federal laws, regulations, and rules as required. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions. Effective communication skills, including oral and written, as well as the ability to read schedules and diagrams, and the ability to troubleshoot problems in a systematic and collaborative fashion. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in painting operations in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Robot Programming Knowledge (minimum of 1 year).
  • Knowledge of Paint Application Systems (minimum of 1 year).
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
