Scope: Wave Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join the Process Engineering group, which supports Oligonucleotide manufacturing and various capital projects for the Lexington site. The Co-op Program is a 6-month, full-time experience within the Process Engineering group at Wave Life Sciences where you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge beyond the classroom. Position Responsibilities: This co-op role will be primarily responsible for assisting the Process Engineering team with executing engineering project deliverables, drafting technical and quality documents, troubleshooting and maintaining GMP process equipment, supporting manufacturing investigations and other related activities. In addition, this assignment will offer the opportunity for involvement in a range of Engineering and Facilities activities, the opportunity to learn about oligonucleotide process unit operations and equipment, and hands-on experience supporting manufacturing process systems in a GMP environment. The co-op will be assigned to various engineering projects and tasks. The ability to successfully execute projects will require a willingness to learn good manufacturing practices (GMP), excellent communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment. This individual will be expected to learn how to interpret engineering documents (for example process and instrumentation diagrams and equipment specifications), and support and document engineering activities (maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment studies, etc.).
