About The Position

Seeking a seasoned Process Engineering / Business Process Improvement Lead to support operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives. The selected candidate will evaluate current-state business processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop actionable strategies to enhance functionality, throughput, and end-user satisfaction. This role requires strong expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, process modeling, stakeholder engagement, and translating optimized workflows into technology-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in process engineering, operations optimization, or business process improvement.
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating current-state processes and implementing optimized solutions.
  • Experience defining software system requirements to support improved process design.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale process transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio or similar).
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with operational metrics, workflow optimization, and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated or government environments.
  • Familiarity with process automation or low-code platforms.
  • Lean certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end reviews of selected business processes across designated departments or functional areas.
  • Engage stakeholders to gather insights on process pain points, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Document “As-Is” workflows and analyze them using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Design optimized “To-Be” workflows and transition plans.
  • Translate optimized processes into functional and non-functional specifications for modular or low-code technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure process requirements are incorporated into system design and architecture.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Establish performance metrics to measure improvements and ROI.
  • Facilitate working sessions, process mapping workshops, and stakeholder training as needed.
  • Align process improvement initiatives with IT and operational system capabilities.
  • Support implementation roadmaps and change management strategies.
