The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing and production processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure processes meet operational and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or similar role (industry-dependent)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing/process systems
- Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice To Haves
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification
- Experience with automation or process control systems
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards (ISO, GMP, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Design, develop, and implement efficient production processes
- Monitor process performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure consistent output
- Conduct process simulations, testing, and validation
- Optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and improve productivity
- Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams
- Support new product introductions and scale-up activities
- Use data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
