This role plays a key part in mold qualification, validation, scientific molding, and technical problem-solving within an R&D-driven manufacturing environment. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5–10 years of injection molding process engineering experience
- Strong understanding of mold design
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics and Polymer Engineering preferred
- Master Molder Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement injection molding processes for electrical connector applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve molding issues in an R&D and production environment
- Conduct mold qualifications and process validations on new tooling
- Apply and follow scientific molding methodologies
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members
- Design and adjust End-of-Arm (EOA) / robotic tooling to optimize processes
- Perform routine mold startups for pre-production runs
- Support Quality Engineering with product testing and dimensional analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure production goals are met
